Small Group Tour to National Park Hoge Veluwe from Amsterdam

National Park Hoge Veluwe

National Park Hoge Veluwe is one of Holland’s oldest and most beautiful National parks. Located about 85 km east of Amsterdam, it is situated in the middle of the much larger area called the Veluwe. This area is home to our own big 5: wild boar, red deer, roe deer, mouflon and wolf! Foxes, badgers, marten, snakes and a wide variety of birds are living in this area. While the wolf is roaming the larger area, it has only been spotted north of the national park.

We will explore the Park, it’s heaths, grasslands and forests in a small group, stopping at several lookouts and wildlife viewing areas. If you like, you can discover the park on your own by bicycle as well! The wide variety of landscapes offer an excellent chance to see wildlife.

Included in this tour:

  • transportation from and to Amsterdam
  • entrance to the Park
  • bicycles in the park
  • Dutch Tours driver and guide

Art and Architecture!

For those in your group who are more interested in art or architecture we offer to drop you at the entrance of the country residence/museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus. Renowned architect H.P. Berlage designed the total exterior, interior and surroundings for the Jachthuis, one of the most important monuments of our country.

Or, you can choose to visit the The Kröller-Müller Museum which is a second home to Vincent van Gogh. The museum has almost 90 paintings and more than 180 drawings, making it the second largest collection of Van Goghs in the world. In addition, the museum is home to top works by modern masters including Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan. The sculpture garden shows over 160 sculptures by well-known artists.

Both the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus and the Kröller-Müller Museum are situated in the national park and tickets can be purchased at an additional fee in the park. The Kröller-Müller Museum is closed on Mondays.
