Example Week – WWII Heritage Netherlands

Day 1 – Arrival in Amsterdam
Begin in the Dutch capital. Explore the Jewish Quarter on a guided walking tour and visit the Resistance Museum. Optional: Anne Frank House (advance reservation required). Overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 2 – Haarlem & Corrie ten Boom
A short drive brings you to Haarlem. Visit the Corrie ten Boom House, followed by a guided walk through the historic city center. Overnight in Haarlem or Utrecht.

Day 3 – Arnhem & Oosterbeek
Travel east to Arnhem. Visit the Airborne Museum at Villa Hartenstein and the Arnhem-Oosterbeek War Cemetery. Stop near the John Frost Bridge to learn about its significance during Operation Market Garden. Overnight in Arnhem.

Day 4 – Camp Vught
Head south to visit National Memorial Camp Vught. In the afternoon, enjoy time in Den Bosch, known for its cathedral and canals. Overnight in Den Bosch.

Day 5 – Overloon & Limburg
Discover the Overloon War Museum, the largest WWII museum in the Netherlands. Continue to Limburg for an overnight stay near Groesbeek or Maastricht.

Day 6 – Liberation Route in Limburg
Visit the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek and the Liberation Museum 1944–45. Continue to the American War Cemetery in Margraten before ending the day in Maastricht. Overnight in Maastricht.

Day 7 – A Dutch Farewell
Travel back to Amsterdam. On the way, choose an optional stop at Giethoorn or the Zaanse Schans to see canals, windmills, and village life before departure.
